9 Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 9

Grabbing some waiver wire magic and stashing them ahead of your league mates is certainly advantageous if you can make it happen, and this series does its best to provide you with some names to consider every week. With bye weeks in full swing and injuries plaguing rosters across the league, grabbing the right players can be a difference-maker in the weeks to come.

Clear out those benches (check out my Dead Weight Report on who to drop) and make room for this week’s crop of emerging fantasy assets.

Jaleel McLaughlin, RB - Broncos (43% rostered)

Denver is on a bye this week so Jaleel McLaughlin might be easier to scoop up and stash. Javonte Williams is the clear No. 1 RB for the Broncos with 59 touches since returning to play in Week 6, but McLaughin seems to have secured the primary backup role, seeing eight touches per game since Week 3.

McLaughlin could be used as a bye-week fill-in in good matchup weeks as he’s averaged 9.5 half-PPR points per contest in his last five games and boasts even more value if anything were to happen to Williams.
