Waiver Wire Watch Week 12

As a refresher, The Drop List consists of players who are rostered in at least 50% of Yahoo leagues and are no longer must-have assets, recommended additions are available in over 50% of Yahoo leagues, the Watch List contains in-depth notes on fringe waiver adds, and Deep Cuts includes player notes on those rostered in 5% or fewer of Yahoo and FFPC leagues.

The Drop List

Russell Wilson’s lone top-15 performance this year occurred back in Week 4 against the Raiders as the Broncos remain stone last in points per game (14.7). Ryan Tannehill, Mac Jones, and Colt McCoy are all stronger options in Week 12.

Already ignored for zero touches in Week 10, Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered an ankle injury on Sunday night and was unable to return. There is no need to stash him ahead of the fantasy playoffs.

J.K. Dobbins is expected to miss “4-6 weeks” following arthroscopic knee surgery in October. Already limited in his first attempt to return to the field, there’s no need to envision Dobbins as a viable fantasy asset for the rest of the year since his timeline keeps him sidelined through fantasy playoffs.

Nyheim Hines has totaled two touches in three games with the Bills, running no more than four routes in any of his appearances.

Cooper Kupp was not officially ruled out for the year following "tightrope surgery" on his ankle, but with Matthew Stafford suffering his second concussion in as many weeks for the 3-7 (and last place in its division) Rams, we know how this story ends.

Still running behind Equanimeous St. Brown in two-wide sets for an offense averaging just 20.7 pass attempts weekly, Chase Claypool, totaling five targets the past two games, is not even a viable FLEX option given his lowly opportunity.

Kyle Pitts is seeking a second opinion on his torn MCL before undergoing ligament surgery. There’s no need to hang onto him any longer given the ominous news.

Darren Waller has not played since Week 5 and reportedly aggravated his hamstring injury prior to Week 10. Slapped on injured reserve for a pitiful 3-7 team, my best guess is Waller does not return this year.
