IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16 Pickups and Matchup Plays
I can't believe it's already Week 16. I'd like to thank everyone who read the articles this season and I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday! I hope you survived the Todd Gurley massacre and were able to advance to your league's title game. There were a few notable injuries last week, but the big one was Landon Collins re-aggravating his ankle injury. If you need to add a few more bodies for the title run, below are my waiver wire suggestions for Championship Week, followed by some top IDP matchups.
IDP Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups
Anthony Lanier, DE, Washington Redskins (54 snaps/64%)
Lanier has recorded consecutive weeks of double-digit fantasy points, which include sacks in four of his last five games. He received his highest snap count in Week 15 (54) and has a plus-matchup against Denver's porous offensive line.
Johnathan Hankins, DE, Indianapolis Colts (54 snaps/68%)
Hankins, after notching 8 tackles against Buffalo, recorded 5 tackles and a sack against the Broncos. Over the last two games, he's recorded 114 snaps and produced 0.24 points per snap.
Williams is capable of making big plays and was responsible for a fumble recovery and TD against Cleveland in Week 15. The Colts represent a favorable matchup for DL, as they are allowing the fourth-most points to the position. If you're looking for a second or third DL streamer this week, Williams should be on your radar against the Colts' soft offensive line.
