Packers could open window for WR Jayden Reed

Speaking of Jayden Reed, the third-year wideout could return to practice on Wednesday after his two-and-a-half-month absence.

Fantasy Impact:

The story said HC Matt LaFleur was asked Monday if the Packers will open the 21-day practice windows for any players this week and the head coach flashed a massive smile while saying, “I sure as heck hope so.” According to the story, LaFleur added that the team will have a better idea about the availability of Reed, and running back Lloyd, over the next two days. The return of Reed could be a big deal for the Packers offense, especially after losing TE Tucker Kraft. The return of Reed would create a logjam of healthy WRs in Green Bay.

LaFleur added that Matthew Golden (shoulder) is considered day-to-day not week-to-week.

Fantasy Impact:

It's good news for Golden and fantasy owners he gets the day to day tag, which gives him a chance to play in Week 10. Unfortunately, it's a Monday night game against the Eagles and a game-time tag could be a risk for fantasy owners. Golden likely isn't starting in your fantasy lineup outside of very deep formats, anyway. With Wicks also out the last two weeks, the WR duties look to fall on Doubs, Watson and Williams if Golden isn't able to play.

WRs Christian Watson (knee) and Matthew Golden (hip) and K Brandon McManus (right quad) are questionable.

Fantasy Impact:

Jacobs was limited in Green Bay's Week 7 game but proceeded to score 18.3 half-PPR points thanks to two touchdowns. He should remain locked into all fantasy lineups.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Christian Watson “looks great” in practice and said “we’ll see” if he’s activated for Sunday’s game.

“Just trying to build up to where we feel comfortable and he does.”

Even if Watson does suit up, we should expect the usual heavy rotation of Green Bay receivers. When he is fully healthy, he'll find a boom-bust role that will be difficult to depend on in fantasy.
