Rapoport: Falcons Drake London (knee) out for Week 12

Falcons wide receiver Drake London left Sunday’s loss to the Panthers with a knee injury and word is that he won’t be back for Week 12.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that London will not play against the Saints because of a PCL sprain.

Fantasy Impact:

Per the report, London could miss more games as a result of the injury as well. London leads the Falcons with 60 catches for 810 yards and six touchdowns this season. Word also just broke at that QB Michael Penix may be out for the season, leaving the QB duties to backup Kirk Cousins, who now looks to be without the team's top target. The names aren't household behind London, so the Falcons may look to target Pitts and Robinson more going forward. Robinson was second, behind London, with four catches in Week 11's loss to the Panthers.

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney day-to-day but looks "pretty good"

Falcons OC Zac Robinson on Darnell Mooney: "Day to day, but he looks good out there. He’s running really well, catching the ball. We’ll keep monitoring the situation, but he has looked pretty good."

Fantasy Impact:

Good sign for Mooney, but not good enough that we should be shoving him in lineups quite yet. When we've received the all-clear, he will be an option as a fantasy WR3/4 after putting up good numbers last year, with a lack of additions to the WR room ahead of 2025.

Falcons not sure when WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) will return

Here is Raheem Morris' update on WR Darnell Mooney.

"Kind of just waiting and rolling. Kind of a week-to-week basis. I feel good about getting him back healthy and ready to go. When? I don’t know. We’ll have him back healthy this year, though."

Fantasy Impact:

Mooney owners could be waiting a while to get back their receiver for fantasy lineups, depending on how you read into these comments. With Mooney out of the lineup, it could mean more work for McCloud, Hodge and maybe even Pitts. McCloud shined at times last season, especially in a three game stretch where he caught 18 passes for 239 yards on 23 targets in weeks 11-14. Hodge was limited to 7 catches for 131 yards all season, most of which came in a 2-67-1 line in a Week 5 game against the Buccaneers. Robinson and the running backs could also get more involved.

Falcons HC Raheem Morris "won't commit" to Darnell Mooney Week 1 availability

Raheem Morris won't commit to having Darnell Mooney in the lineup Week 1 against Tampa.

"We’re going with a few weeks right now," Morris said.

Fantasy Impact:

The initial news of this shoulder injury came on the heels of the team signing D.J. Chark to a one-year deal, which could cause further concern for Mooney, at least in the early parts of the year. Mooney is coming off a low-end WR3 season in which he popped for a few big games from time to time, so if he's sidelined, we would expect the target share to be spread pretty thin behind Drake London.

This also points to a potential larger role for Kyle Pitts.
