Raiders Beat: No one standing out for WR3 role

ESPN

Aug 03 · 2:33 PM EDT

Jalen Nailor and Tre Tucker are the top two wideouts in the room, but it's an open race for WR3. So far, the Raiders have given first-team reps to Dont'e Thornton Jr., Jack Bech and Malik Benson. The concern is, no one has stood out.

Fantasy Impact:

The story wen ton to say that during the team period, the majority of quarterback Kirk Cousins' targets have gone to tight ends Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer, and his checkdowns to running back Ashton Jeanty. It's still early and someone could emerge at some point during camp, but for now, the wide receiver room continues to be a weak spot on the roster.

Raiders trade WR Jakobi Meyers to Jaguars

Adam Schefter on X

Nov 04, 2025 · 11:43 AM EST

ESPN sources: Raiders are trading WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for fourth- and sixth-round picks.

Fantasy Impact:

Schefter said multiple teams including the Steelers and Jaguars had shown interest in Meyers, who is scheduled to become a free agent after his contract expires this season. For the Jags, with Hunter on IR, and BTJ suffering an ankle injury, they needed another option with Washington also a big part of the offense. For the Raiders, this seems to open the door for their rookie WRs in Thornton and Bech, who haven't been involved much so far this season. Tucker looks to be the team's top WR target, of course battling TE Brock Bowers for targets as well.

Raiders to sign WR Tyler Lockett

Pro Football Talk

Oct 27, 2025 · 9:54 AM EDT

The Raiders are bringing in another one of head coach Pete Carroll’s players from Seattle.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Raiders will sign wide receiver Tyler Lockett on Monday. Lockett was released by the Titans last week.

Related players: Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Dont'e Thornton, Jack Bech

Fantasy Impact:

Lockett had 10 catches for 70 yards in Tennessee, but his 661 catches for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns as a Seahawk all rank second in franchise history, the story pointed out. It's hard to imagine Lockett jumping right into fantasy relevance, but he could have some value in deeper leagues at some point, especially considering the rumors about a potential Meyers trade continue to swirl around the team.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers Doubtful, WR Jakobi Meyers Questionable for Week 7

Adam Schefter

Oct 17, 2025 · 5:47 PM EDT

TE Brock Bowers is listed as doubtful and WR Jakobi Meyers is questionable for Sunday’s game in Kansas City.

Related Players: Michael Mayer, Tre Tucker, Dont'e Thornton, Jack Bech

Fantasy Impact:

Mayer is a good streaming candidate this week, but the other ancillary pieces are a little risky to depend on. Tucker could be an interesting WR4 option without Jakobi, but Geno Smith can be ignored in leagues of all sizes.
