WR Ramses Barden has officially signed back with the Giants, according to a source.

Fantasy Impact: 

It's probably not a coincidence that the team re-signed Barden with both Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz dealing with contract issues. He had a nice game against Carolina (9-138) with Nicks sidelined early in the 2012 season.

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks said he hasn't had any problems with the knee that vexed him throughout last season, and that he's feeling "as good as I've felt in awhile."

Fantasy Impact: 

Nicks is a bounceback candidate, but understandably fantasy owners are hesitant to invest a top draft pick in a player who seems to have chronic knee problems. He's currently going in the middle of the 4th round.

Giants QB Eli Manning, along with older brother Peyton, is working out at Duke University this week, according to ESPN. The Mannings are there with Duke coach David Cutcliffe, a college coach of both brothers, as well as three Giants and three Broncos teammates.

Manning brought Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks and recently signed Louis Murphy, per ESPN. The Giants offseason program begins next Monday, and Manning hopes Cruz is working alongside him in East Rutherford as well.

Fantasy Impact: 

It's a good sign for both Hakeem Nicks (knee) and Victor Cruz (contract) that they're with Manning at these workouts. Nicks looks to be recovering from a knee scope and if Cruz didn't think he'd be getting a deal done with the Giants, he probably wouldn't be there.

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks had a scope on the left knee he injured in Week 2 against the Buccaneers. Nicks suggested he may have suffered the injury, in part, because he was compensating for pain in the right foot he fractured last spring. Nicks missed three games with the foot and knee injuries, but was considerably slowed by both for the balance of the season.

Fantasy Impact: 

Scopes (a.k.a. arthroscopic surgery) are relatively minor procedures when compared to full ligament tears. Recovery is about a month, so Nicks' summer shouldn't be much different than usual.
