Assuming David Montgomery is indeed activated, it will be Montgomery [carrying the RB workload].

Fantasy Impact:

Montgomery has a chance to play tonight against the Steelers and this reporter feels Monty will carry the load this week if active. There are others who cover the league who feel the emerging Herbert will certainly get his share as well, and also believe the days of Montgomery getting the workload he did in the past are gone. That all remains to be seen, but it would be a little surprising to see Herbert phased out after getting at least 18 carries and 72 yards over the last four weeks, including games against formidable defenses.

Chicago Bears running back Damien Williams missed Thursday's practice due to being in COVID-19 protocol.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams is unvaccinated and cannot be cleared until Saturday at the earliest. Fantasy managers who were relying on Williams for Week 7 should prepare a contingency option. Even if active, Williams will be in a timeshare with Khalil Herbert against one of the top run defenses in the league. Look elsewhere if possible.
