After missing practice all week with his foot in a boot, Rams receiver Danny Amendola dressed for Sunday's game but did not play in the second half.
Coach Jeff Fisher sounded more encouraged Monday than he did after the game about Amendola's prospects for practice this week and increased playing time Sunday against the 49ers.
“He's a little sore, but he's got a chance to get back on the practice field,” Fisher said. “He's healing, but it's going to take time until he gets back to 100 percent.”
Amendola was perhaps more of a decoy last week than anything. But he didn't suffer any setbacks, so the hope is he gets more playing time this week in a game against the 49ers. Despite the tough matchup, Amendola caught 11 balls for over 100 yards when the teams met just a few weeks ago. We'll be sure to monitor his progress this week to make sure he's a solid fantasy play.
