Fantasy Football QB Streaming Week 7: Game Script Should Favor Michael Penix Jr.

We didn’t see a ton of gaudy stat lines from quarterbacks during Week 6. Only five of them threw for at least 300 yards, with Kirk Cousins leading the way with 313 passing yards. On the bright side, 11 quarterbacks emerged from their matchups with at least two touchdowns through the air. On the negative side of things, 16 quarterbacks finished with at least one interception.

Four teams will be on a bye during Week 7, the most notable of which is the Bills. That means fantasy superstar Josh Allen won’t be available. Considering many fantasy managers who drafted him didn’t also select a backup for their squad, hitting the waiver wire for a streaming replacement might be necessary.

Week 6 Recap

Kirk Cousins was our top finisher last week, checking in at QB9. In addition to throwing for over 300 yards against the Bills, he had two touchdowns to go along with one interception. It was the second time in three games that he reached at least 300 passing yards and his fifth game of the season with at least two touchdowns.

The biggest disappointment of the week was Jameis Winston, who was eventually benched during the Giants loss to the Saints. He was picked off twice and threw for only 152 yards and one touchdown. While he was great the week prior in a tie against the Commanders, Winston has now been picked off four times over the last three games. Given how well J.J. McCarthy performed in relief, Winston’s days as the starter for the Giants might be numbered.
