Perfect Fantasy Football Draft: 10th in a 10-Team Yahoo Half-PPR League
For many, PPR is the one true scoring format of fantasy football. Some remain opposed to this, as it can bolster mostly lackluster play by someone merely catching a dump-off pass for the same reward as a hard-fought run. For those in the middle of this holy war is the Half PPR format. This allows for players, especially running backs, without a robust receiving profile, to remain relevant and not be cast aside at the altar of the true satellite backs. It’s a lot of fun, and you can build solid rosters from anywhere in the draft order.
In this article, I will walk through my favorite players in each round that should be available to me based on Yahoo ADP from the No. 10 spot in a 10-team Half-PPR league.

My Plan of Attack When Drafting 10th
Roster Settings: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 DEF, 6 bench spots
- Attack running back early - Proven running back talent has a nasty habit of drying up quickly this season, whereas receiver depth is abundant. I’d love to start my draft with two foundation backs in the early rounds.
- Look for backfield dominators - The Half-PPR scoring format means that I won’t be looking too hard for running backs with a strong receiving profile, although it will be handy if they can catch the occasional ball. A player likely to lead his team in carries will be a useful asset.
- Ignore kickers and DST until the very end of the draft - these are not positions of high priority in fantasy, and a strong case can be made that weekly streaming at these spots is a viable strategy for success. You should ensure that all of your starting spots and at least a few of your backup players are filled before you even contemplate picking a kicker.
Round 1, Pick 10 (10) - WR Drake London
Round 2, Pick 1 (11) - RB Ashton Jeanty
