Chris Ivory's debut was less than spectacular, as he finished 13 yards on 7 carries and a fumble on a fourth-down carry that was recovered by the Falcons. And although Ivory seemed to be the short-yardage option in the Saints game plan, he got but 1 yard on two carries on New Orleans overtime possession.

But Coach Sean Payton said Monday the team still has confidence in Ivory, while at the same time acknowledging that depth at that position is a concern for the Saints and thus the organization is keeping an eye on other players who might become available.

"He's going to have to give us some good carries, here, he'll have to handle 7, 8, 10 carries a game," Payton said, noting the quandary the Saints face with Bush out. "Our confidence is high. He'll have an opportunity to do good things and I think he will."
