Wide receiver Tyreek Hill could be back in the NFL very soon.
Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN that he plans to begin negotiations with teams about a contract for the wideout. Rosenhaus added that he does not expect it to take a long time for those talks to lead to an agreement.
“I would anticipate Tyreek potentially signing with a team over the next few days,” Rosenhaus said.
Fantasy Impact:
We reported from ESPN that Hill and the Chiefs had been talking even before injuries to Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton in Week 4. Hill has been dropping hints about a possible return on social media, and was starting to disappear off fantasy waiver wires. ESPN reported in the same story that Hill was eyeing a November return. Among Hill's social media posts were videos of him working out, showing that he could be close to a return. Hill, of course, is coming off a major knee injury and is 32-years-old, but he would have value on an offense like the Chiefs where he's already has familiarity. It will remain to be seen just how much time he needs after he signs. At the very least he could be a deep threat replacement for Thornton, assuming the Chiefs are his landing spot. As we said in our previous post, roster spots are valuable, so you may have to stash Hill a few weeks before you can think about using him in lineups.
