There are many things wrong with the Seahawks offense at the moment.

But according to coach Pete Carroll, quarterback Russell Wilson’s pectoral injury is not among the issues moving forward.

Via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Carroll said the sore pectoral muscle that limited Wilson in practice last week might have limited his ability to throw deep against the Saints, but he didn’t think it would bother him this week.

“I’m fired up to see him come back this week and get back after it,’’ Carroll said.

Wilson ditched his ankle brace but still has one on his knee, and his injuries are obviously a factor in his and the team’s inability to run. That has led to a tie and a loss their last two games, the story pointed out. The piece added the Seahawks are 29th in points scored (18.7), and just 23rd in yards (339.9). They’ve scored one offensive touchdown in their last nine quarters, and have been held to one touchdown or less in four of their seven games.

Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson were asked the same question Sunday night after the Seattle Seahawks' 6-6 tie against the Arizona Cardinals, but they offered predictably different responses.

The queries had to do with Wilson's limited mobility. On the Seahawks' first drive, they faced a 3rd-and-1 from their own 26. The call was a zone read, and Wilson kept it, but he was dropped for a 2-yard loss.

It was his only run of the game.

Wilson has carried 22 times for 33 yards. That's 5.5 yards per game and 1.5 YPC. During the first four seasons of his career, Wilson averaged 38 rushing yards per game and 5.91 YPC. Wilson suffered a right high ankle sprain in Week 1 and a sprained MCL in his left knee in Week 3. He continues to get treatment for the injuries, and it's obvious that they're affecting him.
