Venon Davis on W3 availability: 'We shall see.'

Vernon Davis said he's waiting for team doctors to give him the go-ahead to play Sunday, which would be the first
game he's ever played against his younger brother, Colts cornerback Vontae Davis.

Vernon Davis, who suffered a left hamstring strain late in Sunday's loss to Seattle, was the only 49er who did not practice Friday. He is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

The 49ers tight end said he was able to run on a side field while the rest of the team practiced Friday. "I'm feeling pretty good, sore, bruised up, but that comes with the business, comes with the game," he said. " Definitely my focus is on this game. .. We shall see when Sunday comes."

Fantasy Impact:

Our guess is that Davis will play on Sunday, but there are no guarantees, so have a Plan B ready to go. Coby Fleener, Charles Clay, Heath Miller, Kellen Winslow and Scott Chandler all play at the same time or later this week. Fellow 49er (and rookie) Vance McDonald would be another option if Davis can't play.
