After 17 seasons, Jason Witten is retiring from the NFL. He intends to sign a one-day contract and retire as a member of the Dallas Cowboys in March when his contract with the Las Vegas Raiders expires at the end of the league year.
Jason Witten spent 16 years as a Cowboy before playing with Las Vegas in 2020. He posted four 1,000 yard seasons and eight more over the 700-yard mark. His impressive career boasts five top-five finishes among tight ends in fantasy points over the last decade.
The 49ers have signed restricted free agent RB Jeff Wilson, Jr. to a one-year contract.
He set career-highs with 126 carries, 600 yards and 7 TD, playing great for the team late in the season.
Coming off a career-high season, Jeff Wilson will once again be competing with Raheem Mostert for the lead job as they're both now signed through the 2021 season. Both Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon are set to be unrestricted free agents this offseason, leaving the third-down back slot up in the air.
