Rams ink QB Jimmy Garoppolo to one-year deal

The Rams have agreed to terms with QB Jimmy Garoppolo on a one-year deal.

Following a year with the Raiders, Garoppolo is set to join Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay in L.A.

Fantasy Impact:

This may have been the best place Jimmy G could have landed. It still doesn't mean he'll be taking any snaps following his two-game suspension but he would be an interesting streaming option if anything happens to Stafford.

The Browns are signing veteran WR Diontae Johnson, sources say. Cleveland brought the former Steelers and Ravens pass catcher in for a visit today, and the sides then agreed to a deal. Back to the AFC North for Johnson.

Fantasy Impact:

This is a fantastic depth chart to land on for Johnson, but it would be all but impossible to trust him on fantasy squads after the tour of the NFL he's been on over the last year. If he gets cut and goes to the Bengals, he will have earned the ultra-rare Grand Slam tour of the entire division.

Steelers sign veteran WR Robert Woods to one-year deal

The Steelers are signing veteran WR Robert Woods to a 1-year, $2M deal. A new target and big-time locker room presence for… whoever their QB ends up being. The former Texans WR lands in a great spot.

Fantasy Impact:

Should Woods stick on the team until the regular season, he'll have more of an impact keeping sophomore Roman Wilson on the field than he would for the top of the depth chart. We'll have to wait and see how things shake out with Pickens' status as a Steeler throughout the summer.

TE George Kittle signs four-year extension with 49ers

George Kittle and the 49ers have agreed to a four-year, $76.4 million extension.

The $19.1 million AAV is a record at the tight end position.

Fantasy Impact:

It was rumored that the 49ers might be interested in grabbing a guy near the top of the NFL Draft, but when that didn't come to fruition, the next logical step was locking in their stud tight end. Kittle will remain a focal point of the offense and stays put as a top-3 fantasy option.
