Pierre Thomas (shoulder) to miss 2-3 weeks

Running back Pierre Thomas will miss two to three weeks with a shoulder injury, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Thomas left Sunday's loss to Detroit early with the shoulder issue.

On the season, Thomas had just 30 carries for 133 yards, but will be seriously missed in the passing game. Thomas has by far the most targets out of any Saints running back, 29, and has come away with 26 catches so far.

Fantasy Impact:

This is potentially great news for Mark Ingram owners. We heard a lot in the offseason about Ingram's pass-catching ability. Before he got hurt he had just four catches and added two more his first week back last week against the Lions. Khiry Robinson may see a few extra carries, and Travaris Cadet will be a decent flex play in PPR formats, but Ingram should see additional snaps as well. The Saints play Green Bay in Week 8, and it's shaping up to be a great matchup for the NO rushing game.
