The Seahawks appeared to go into Week 1 with a game plan of splitting snaps between Jadarian Price and George Holani — likely in part to ease Price into things some. Price had 24 snaps to the 23 of Holani, who had 29 yards on eight carries.

Price’s workload figures to only increase the next few weeks. And when Zach Charbonnet returns at some point around midseason, the Seahawks can worry then about getting each enough work.

If you were hoping Price would get more carries, the story said HC Mike Macdonald noted the Seahawks ran just 48 plays. That was fewer than all but one game last year (47 at Tennessee) and almost 12 off their average last season of 59.7 per game. “If we can keep drives alive on offense, that will give us some more chances to run it,” Macdonald said in the story. “More runs will be better.” The story also pointed out that Price also didn’t get a carry in the preseason after he battled a hip injury. He got significant work in a joint practice with Tennessee before the Seahawks held him out of the final two preseason games.

The numbers are nice, but look under the hood, and you'll see a different approach than any in recent memory. Josh Allen's average pass traveled 13.2 yards downfield — a number higher than any of his games in 2025. Or 2024. Or 2023. He had a career-high five completions of 30-plus yards.

The story added last year the Bills, lacking a true downfield threat, became a conservative passing offense. Allen, largely limited to screens and quick passing, finished 25th (out of 33) in air yards per attempt and 18th in deep throw rate. Allen went 20 for 29 for 334 yards and two touchdowns and added two touchdowns on the ground.

Vikings QB Kyler Murray's status is uncertain because of a concussion, but the play of Carson Wentz sparks optimism.

Wentz came on and rallied the Vikings to a win over the Packers in Week 1. We all know by now that players in protocol tend to miss the following week's game, at least, although there have been a few who have passed in time. Murray owners should probably expect him to miss Week 2 and have a backup plan ready to go. The Vikings are at the Bears in Week 2 in the early slate of games. Wentz threw three TD passes and added 133 yards in the air. The Bears defense gave up some points to the Panthers in Week 1, so Wentz makes for a nice potential fantasy option for owners who need to pick him up off the wire.
