MRI confirms torn Achilles for Austin Ekeler

The MRI for Commanders running back Austin Ekeler confirmed he did tear his Achilles during Thursday’s game against the Packers.

Fantasy Impact:

Ekeler took to Instagram and said “Thank you for all the love and well wishes. I appreciate you all.” As expected, Ekeler is now out for the rest of the season. Rookie running back Bill Croskey-Merritt and Chris Rodriguez are likely to split most of the work with Ekeler out and Jeremy McNichols is also on the depth chart. But as the first two weeks showed, BCM could up and down each week. Washington is home against the Raiders in Week 3.
