With Mike Evans out, Louis Murphy could have bigger role

Bucs WR Louis Murphy made the most of his opportunity on Sunday, and he’s likely to have more chances in the future. Rookie starter Mike Evans has a groin injury that’s expected to keep him out two to four weeks. Murphy should get some of Evans’ playing time.

“It’s a big opportunity,’’ Murphy said. “I’m going to take full advantage of it. That’s part of football, if one guy goes down the next guy has to step up. That’s been happening across the board for the entire team. Guys have been stepping into roles that they’re not used to. I’m ready for this and prepared for it.’’

Fantasy Impact:

Murphy was with the team in camp and preseason before getting cut and then coming back. He had a huge day last week against the Steelers, including a big catch-and-run on the final drive that set up the game-winning TD. QB Mike Glennon seems to have sparked this offense a bit so Murphy could have deeper league value at least.
