Josh Gordon will be back Monday 'without restrictions'

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon's 10-game suspension for failing a substance abuse test will essentially be lifted the minute next week starts.

The NFL told ESPN via email that Gordon, arguably the game's best receiver last season, can rejoin his team Monday morning.

"(He) will be clear to resume normal activities without restriction," AFC director of football communications Jon Zimmer said.

The league originally suspended Gordon for a full season, but reduced the punishment to 10 games after reaching a new agreement with the third-year receiver.

Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is eager to work with Gordon.

Fantasy Impact:

It's the moment owners have been waiting for. As the story said, Gordon couldn't be walking into a better spot. He can spark the offense, but doesn't have to carry it because it's already playing well. The author expected Gordon to get the ball early and often. The big thing in question is Gordon's game shape. It may take him at least a week to get up to speed. The good news is his Week 12 matchup is against Atlanta and Week 13 is Buffalo - both very favorable matchups.
