Giants fire HC Ben McAdoo, GM Jerry Reese

Ben McAdoo's stint as head coach of the New York Giants is over.

The Giants fired McAdoo on Monday following a tumultuous week spearheaded by Eli Manning's benching and the team's loss to the Oakland Raiders, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The team also fired GM Jerry Reese, according to other reports.

Fantasy Impact:

Steve Spagnuolo, a former Rams HC, will be the interim coach. It seemed after benching Manning, the writing was on the wall for McAdoo. Owner John Mara came out and said changes would be coming, and there were "no guarantees" McAdoo would make it through the season. The Giants were coming off an 11-5 mark just last season and had high hopes for this year. Prior to that, McAdoo was the Giants OC under Tom Coughlin in 2014-15, the team went 6-10 both seasons.

As for Reese, he took a ton of heat for his refusal to upgrade the offensive line heading into this season. The New York Daily News reports just 10 of Reese's 43 draft picks from 2010-15 remain on the team.
