Foote, Lions agree to terms

Veteran free agent Larry Foote has agreed to terms of a one-year contract with the Lions, his agent, Ken Kremer, said in an email. Foote, a Detroit native and former Michigan All-American, met with team officials Tuesday and told the AP he expected the deal to be completed soon. "I'm excited because it's a fresh start for me," Foote told the AP. "It's a one-year deal to show my talents, and hopefully end up signing a long-term deal after showing the Lions and their new coaching staff what I can do." Lions officials confirmed this morning that Foote passed a physical, but haven't confirmed signing him.
