The Eagles have declared wide receiver Desean Jackson and linebacker Akeem Jordan out for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
Jackson suffered a concussion against Washington and has not practiced all week. Coach Andy Reid had not officially declared him out until today.
"He’s had just kind of the normal headache. Normally they start reducing by today and that’s kind of the way it’s worked," Reid said. "“I just don’t think he’s ready yet. We’ll wait until next week and see how he does.”
Jason Avant will move from the slot to the flanker. Reid said Reggie Brown also will get some snaps on the outside. It also likely that Jordan Norwood will be activated as the fourth wide receiver.
Jordan (hyperextended knee) appears to be making progress, having been a limited practice participant Thursday, but was out today.
“He’s just not quite ready" Reid said. "He went out and he worked. He had a little bit of swelling yesterday, so we just backed off of him today.”
Wide receiver Kevin Curtis (knee) and running back Brian Westbrook (concussion) are out, as previously announced.
Tight end Brent Celek (sprained thumb), cornerback Sheldon Brown (hamstring) and defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley (ankle) were among a long list of Eagles listed as probable. Reid said Celek "felt pretty good" at today's practice.
The others: DE Victor Abiamiri (knee), WR Jason Avant (hamstring), G Nick Cole (knee), S Quintin Demps (ankle), G Todd Herremans (shoulder), WR Jeremy Maclin (foot), DT Mike Patterson (wrist, toe), CB Asante Samuel (neck). All were full practice participants.
