Chiefs lose Jamaal Charles & Knile Davis

Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis left the Saturday wild card game against the Indianapolis Colts with an apparent knee injury and did not return.

Davis carried the ball early in the fourth quarter when he was tackled and remained on the field following the play. He left with the assistance of trainers and was examined by the team's medical staff on the sideline. Davis is the latest in a long line of injuries sustained by Kansas City on Saturday.

Starting running back Jamaal Charles left in the first quarter with a concussion, and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. He was followed by starting wide receiver Donnie Avery, who caught a touchdown in the first half before sustaining a possible concussion of his own in the third quarter. The Chiefs are also without cornerback Brandon Flowers, who sustained a concussion during the third quarter.

Fantasy Impact:

Charles's concussion shouldn't impact his 2014 campaign, though it's something to monitor in dynasty leagues. We should find out shortly if Davis's knee injury is a sprain or something more severe. He turned into a nice handcuff for Charles this season.
