Cards not concerned with Andre Ellington's workload

Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim isn’t concerned about his star running back being overworked.

On his weekly Monday radio appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Keim said he’s not worried about Andre Ellington's health being impacted by wear and tear because he "plays smart."

"There’s some self-preservation when you watch him on tape, whether he gets out of bounds (or) he gets down," Keim said. "But just watching the tape again this morning, he’s the guy that makes this thing go offensively. He’s such a dynamic runner."

Fantasy Impact:

Ellington had 25 touches in Sunday’s 28-17 win against the Dallas Cowboys, his fourth straight game of 25 or more. He seems to be over his foot injury that slowed him down in the beginning of the season. Reports said he needed rest and couldn't do any more damage. Since the Week 4 bye, Ellington's touches are slightly up per game. While the schedule gets more difficult, Ellington seems to be one of those back where the matchup doesn't matter a whole lot, especially thanks to his role in the passing game.
