Cardinals will stick with Kyler Murray at QB

Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett has played very well in place of the injured Kyler Murray, but head coach Jonathan Gannon says Murray will return to the starting lineup as soon as he is cleared.

Asked if he would reconsider and keep Brissett at quarterback, Gannon insisted he wouldn’t.

“Nothing’s changed on that,” Gannon said. “That’s how I feel.”

Fantasy Impact:

Brissett completed 21 of 31 passes for 261 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Monday night’s 27-17 win over the Cowboys. Statistically, Brissett has been better than Murray this season, the story pointed out, and if you've watched any Cardinals games, the offense just looks better under Brissett. In a story we posted yesterday, PFT's Mike Florio believes Murray's days in Arizona could be numbered, and while he doesn't expect a trade before today's deadline, he feels an offseason move could be likely.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) day to day

LaFleur added that Matthew Golden (shoulder) is considered day-to-day not week-to-week.

Fantasy Impact:

It's good news for Golden and fantasy owners he gets the day to day tag, which gives him a chance to play in Week 10. Unfortunately, it's a Monday night game against the Eagles and a game-time tag could be a risk for fantasy owners. Golden likely isn't starting in your fantasy lineup outside of very deep formats, anyway. With Wicks also out the last two weeks, the WR duties look to fall on Doubs, Watson and Williams if Golden isn't able to play.

Chargers won't open window for RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) until after bye

Jim Harbaugh said he doesn’t think the Chargers will open the window for running back Omarion Hampton to return from IR until after the Week 12 bye.

Fantasy Impact:

Hampton was injured back in Week 5 but the reports all along have said he wouldn't be back when first eligible, which would have been this week. We at least have some sort of timetable to go on and Week 13 is, of course, down the stretch of the fantasy regular season. Vidal should be the team's lead back until Hampton returns, and even after that maybe Hampton is eased back into action.

Fantasy Impact:

The post went on to say Quinn added, "Knowing it's game-game-bye, that has an affect. But I don't have a timetable today." Given the status of the team overall right now, including how there is no timetable for QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) to come back, there probably isn't a need to rush McLaurin back into action. While the season isn't officially lost just yet, it could mean the team devotes more time to looking at a guy like Lane, for example.
