Cardinals Beat: Team needs more of RB Chase Edmonds

Chase Edmonds’ impact on the game justified his post-game interview status.

He touched the ball just eight times on offense, but accounted for 92 total yards, including a 29-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

“No question,” coach Kliff Kingsbury said after the Cardinals 30-10 victory. “He’s got real juice and we need to find ways to continue to get him the ball.”

Fantasy Impact:

The writer said Kingsbury should take some carries away from Drake and give them to Edmonds. He went on to say through five games, Drake hasn’t looked like the dynamic player who gained 643 yards and rushed for eight touchdowns over the last eight games. He's averaging 3.7 yards a carry, about a yard less than last year. The author added other than loyalty, there's no good reason why Drake touched the ball 19 times (18 on runs) Sunday while Edmonds only eight. Despite the difference in workload, Edmonds accounted for 30 more yards. Drake owners have been flooding our Discuss You Team forum asking about what to do with Drake, and after only an OK performance against the Jets, the best advice may be to pick up Edmonds.
