Calvin Johnson leaves practice with jammed thumb

Calvin Johnson left practice with a jammed thumb on his right hands and safety Daniel Bullocks is having his ailing knee examined in Birmingham, Ala. by Dr. James Andrews.
Johnson, who has practiced despite jammed fingers on both hands, had his thumb wrapped for about 45 minutes during practice before it was removed by a trainer. Schwartz said Johnson's injury is not believed to be serious.

Lions head coach Jim Schwartz has told his players not to discuss injuries so Johnson refused to talk about his injured thumb after practice.
