Bucs send RB Charles Sims (knee) to injured reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense took another hit ahead of Monday night's tussle with the Carolina Panthers.

The Bucs announced they have placed running back Charles Sims on injured reserve with a knee injury. The team promoted rookie tailback Russell Hansbrough from the practice squad.

Fantasy Impact: 

Sims will be eligible to return after eight weeks, but for fantasy purposes, he can be cut. This news boosts the value of Doug Martin, who should return to a big workload once his hamstring is healthy. Jacquizz Rodgers could assume a good portion of Sims' role in the passing game, but Martin should see some of those touches as well.
