The Browns are starting Dillon Gabriel at quarterback in Saturday’s preseason game against the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact:

Gabriel missed the first preseason week with hamstring tightness but returned to practice this week. Gabriel should see plenty of work Saturday as fellow rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders suffered an oblique injury this week and will miss the game. Kenny Pickett (hamstring) is working his way back but has not yet participated in team drills. Joe Flacco and Tyler Huntley are the other healthy quarterbacks in Cleveland.

Achane’s preseason is likely over but McDaniel didn’t seem concerned about the availability of Achane for Week 1 against the Colts. Achane did not play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Lions. The Dolphins have already lost Alexander Mattison for the season with a neck injury. Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon are next on the depth chart.

The Saints announced Saturday that rookie quarterback Tyler Shough will start Sunday’s preseason game against the Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact:

Spencer Rattler started the first preseason game, so the Saints are simply giving Shough his opportunity as the quarterback battle continues between the former South Carolina quarterback and the rookie second-round pick out of Louisville. Shough threw for 165 yards, a touchdown and an interception last week against the Chargers.

Commanders activate Terry McLaurin from PUP

The Commanders officially activated WR Terry McLaurin from the physically unable to perform list Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

On Friday, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury said it was time for on-field work for McLaurin. That time has come. Still no word on a new contract for McLaurin, but he can now take the next step in his progression on the field as he recovers from his ankle injury. The main issue is obviously the contract talks, but McLaurin can now take part in more on-field activities with the season about three weeks away. McLaurin is a consensus top-20 wide receiver in fantasy drafts.
