Brady and Moss miss reps

Tom Brady and Randy Moss headline the list of players missing from the media portion of practice today, according to Globe reporter Adam Kilgore.

Vince Wilfork, who left Sunday's game with a foot injury, and Ty Warren also were not present.

Randy Moss frequently misses Wednesday practices with the team's blessing, so it would be a mistake to tie his absence today to the criticism he has received since Wednesday.

According to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has flashed since returning to the practice field.

Fantasy Impact:

Courtland Sutton has been making a number of exciting plays in training camp, so much so that Kosmider opined that Sutton is flashing his Pro Bowl form. It is great news that Sutton has started turning heads after a slow start to camp. Fantasy managers can now feel more confident that he is trending towards a full recovery and will still be the same receiving threat he was before the injury. Currently, our 36th ranked receiver, Sutton, has the tools to outperform his ADP as the 31st receiver off the board by a fair margin.

Joe Judge: Appear to have 'missed' the 'worst-case scenario' with Kenny Golladay

Giants head coach Joe Judge told reporters that WR Kenny Golladay is seeing a doctor to determine the extent of his hamstring injury and that he appeared to have 'missed' the 'worst-case scenario.'

“In terms of a worst-case scenario, I think we’ve kind of avoided that, in terms of dealing with it," said Judge. "But we’ll see what the timetable looks like. Injuries are different for every player, so we’ll have to see how his body responds and make sure we do right by him.”

Fantasy Impact:

Golladay has had soft tissue injuries in the past and is coming off a prolonged absence in 2020 while with the Detroit Lions. It is realistic to not expect Golladay on the practice field for a large chunk of August.

Olamide Zaccheus 'clear favorite' to win for Falcons WR3

Falcons WR Olamide Zaccheus has been the standout wide receiver for the Falcons with Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage leading the depth chart, according to Kevin Knight of 'The Falcoholic' of SB Nation. "Zaccheaus has also notably been lined up both in the slot and outside, so there’s a chance he could be the starting outside WR opposite Calvin Ridley when the Falcons are in 12 personnel packages," wrote Knight.

Fantasy Impact:

The last line is important to note as Russell Gage has worked best from the slot. Zaccheus could also line up opposite another Falcons receiver if Atlanta wants Ridley to get looks inside away from potential shadow coverage. The Falcons may have to throw more unless RB Mike Davis can impress similarly as he did with Carolina in 2020. That could mean more snaps and targets for Zaccheus after showing signs of talent when injuries took away some of Atlanta's receiver depth last season.
