Chargers WR Keenan Allen (groin, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 3. Allen should play against the Bills. Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal would get a bump if Allen can’t go, and the team would presumably want to get Ladarius Green on the field more in 12 personnel. The Chargers play in the early round of games.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (groin) was added to the injury report Thursday after taking limited practice reps. Midweek downgrades are not a good sign. Allen’s schedule starts to let up this week, so an injury would take some of the wind out of his sails heading into Week 3.

The Oakland Raiders, looking to bolster their wide receiving corps, signed fourth-year pass catcher Vincent Brown to a one-year deal, multiple sources told FOXSports.com.

Brown, who was released by the San Diego Chargers last month, worked out for the team Monday morning and passed a physical.

Rehabbing from a calf injury, Brown could be the jolt Oakland's offense needs. Brown was selected in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft and hauled in 41 receptions for 472 yards last season.

Fantasy Impact:

Brown was unimpressive last year as the Chargers WR2 opposite of Keenan Allen, who emerged as a rookie.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (ribs, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 2. Allen is ready to go for a tough matchup against the Seahawks. If Allen has another quiet game, he will be a prime trade target for those owners wanting to buy low. His schedule lightens up considerably starting in Week 3.

Chargers WR Malcom Floyd turned 33 on Monday, and there was plenty to celebrate before a single pass flew his way.

It was almost a year ago that the Chargers receiver was carted off the field after suffering a neck injury against the Eagles in Week 2.

There was fear that his NFL career was over — that he’d be forced out unceremoniously after nine years. But in the season opener against the Cardinals, Floyd showed that he was far from done.

The veteran had four receptions for 50 yards in the Chargers’ 18-17 loss, but shined brightest in the first series of the third quarter, when he a caught 7-yard pass on second down and 11, a 32-yard pass on third and 4, and a six-yard touchdown pass on second down to put the Chargers ahead 10-6.

Fantasy Impact:

Floyd is a potential pickup for leagues that play three or more WRs. He should prove to be a much more reliable target for QB Philip Rivers than what Vincent Brown was last year. With top corners potentially sticking to Keenan Allen more, Floyd could find himself a little more free.

Fantasy Impact:

The two big notes are Cardinals RB Andre Ellington and Chargers TE Antonio Gates. Gates doesn't officially appear on the NFL media injury report but was listed as limited in practice on Saturday with a hamstring injury. On the San Diego Chargers injury report, he is listed as questionable. If he doesn't go, Lardarius Green would be a significant upgrade in terms of workload potential.

Ellington is a game-time call on Monday night. Reports have been all over the place about the extent of his foot injury, but he's officially listed as questionable.

While Keenan Allen likely will garner the majority of attention from Arizona's secondary on Sunday, receiver Malcom Floyd will be a likely target on backside routes for Philip Rivers. In San Diego's last four regular-season openers, Floyd has averaged seven targets with an explosive play of at least 16 yards in all four contests. Allen is San Diego's No. 1 receiver, but Floyd has been Rivers' most consistent target during training camp and in preseason play.

Fantasy Impact:

We've been recommending Floyd as a late-round option all summer. From 2010 to 2012, Floyd finished #36, #32 and #36 as the second or third option in San Diego.
