Browns are sending QB Kenny Pickett to the Las Vegas Raiders, per sources.

Fantasy Impact:

As Schefter summarized, the Raiders needed another backup for Smith with O'Connell fracturing his wrist in the preseason finale and being expected to miss 6-8 weeks. As for the Browns, they had a logjam at the position so it makes sense Pickett would be the one moved. Now the Browns will need to settle their QB depth chart behind starter Flacco.

Week 17 at Chicago Bears

Geno Smith overcame a tough matchup in Week 16 and went to a top-10 showing in fantasy points. But another tough assignment, at least in fantasy terms, awaits in Week 17 against the Bears. The Bears rank eighth in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, which in concert with Smith's inconsistent form this season makes him hard to trust as anything more than a mid-tier QB2.
