The Dolphins have signed TE Greg Dulcich to the active roster off the practice squad and placed TE Darren Waller on the injured reserve list with a pec strain.

Fantasy Impact:

This is not likely a spot where we should be targeting the TE room. Hill and Conner combined for five targets and 29 yards last week.

NYG TE Darren Waller - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Darren Waller caught two balls for 32 yards last week against the Eagles. Waller has been getting targets - averages 6.2 per game this year - but he just isn’t producing. He has just three double-digit half-PPR fantasy performances this year and only one touchdown all season. The Giants offense hasn’t been good enough to sustain fantasy pass-catchers, and Waller just hasn’t been able to be an exception to that.

This week, Waller faces a Rams defense that ranks eighth in aFPA to opposing tight ends. He gets enough targets to warrant fantasy consideration, but he’s a risky, fringe-starter in most leagues. Expect a high level of variance for the veteran, and fantasy managers should hold their breath if forced to start him.
