Dolphins' moves show they're still in rebuilding mode

Miami Herald - [Full Article]

The team's non-pursuit of a high-priced available WR is another indication Miami doesn't believe it is close enough to being good now to give up future draft picks or spend big to be better immediately. The Dolphins might have been able to land Arizona's Anquan Boldin on draft weekend in exchange for their #1 draft pick (25th overall), but they wouldn't pull the trigger because teams that think they are close to very good make that deal. Teams resigned to building from the ground up do not. Cleveland's Braylon Edwards is another top WR available, but it's the same story; another concession flag. A means of building up the stacks of chips gradually because you know it's pointless to go all in.
This same line of corporate thinking indicates pretty strongly that QB Chad Henne will be Miami's starter, given the ball from veteran Chad Pennington, the minute Henne is thought to be ready this season.
