Cowboys Beat: Team will 'pick their spots' in limiting RB DeMarco Murray's touches

Cowboys beat writer Todd Archer was asked if the team would limit RB DeMarco Murray's touches: I don't think you'll necessarily see them limit his work. I think they'll pick their spots when they can. They did it last week against the New Orleans Saints when they gave Joseph Randle a series of work in the second half. If they get big leads, I think you'll see them rest him. The same should happen if they're losing big. I realize Murray has an injury history, but I don't think the Cowboys can act scared about giving it to him. Just ride it for as long as you can, be smart. There are games in which he might carry it 17 times that are more difficult than games in which he carries it 25 times.

Fantasy Impact:

Murray has seen 108 touches through four games, for an average of 27.0 touches per game. That's going to be a difficult benchmark to reach for the rest of the season since he doesn't exactly have a history of being the most durable running back in the league. Still, fantasy owners have to be elated with what they are getting from Murray this season, especially his 5.4 YPC and five scores.
