San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor suffered a broken foot in Saturday's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Taylor went down early in the game, was carted off the field and was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game. As it turned out, he was already getting surgery. The team hopes Taylor will be back early in the season, but it looks unlikely he will be ready for the season opener against the Buccaneers. Taylor had been showing well and was touted by Maiocco as the receiver who would lead the team in catches. Taylor, fortunately, will not miss a lot of time and was already going practically undrafted in fantasy circles. Monitor the 49ers' receivers and the waiver wire in case Taylor lands there.
