9 Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 3

Week 2 brought a fresh wave of shakeups across the fantasy landscape, with injuries, depth chart shifts, and a few surprising usage trends opening doors for new names. These are exactly the types of developments that fuel our stash list: players who may not be locked into starting lineups yet, but whose roles could grow quickly in the coming weeks. Whether it’s a backfield handcuff with rising snap share, a young receiver carving out routes, or a tight end flashing long-term upside, these are the players worth tucking away before the rest of your league catches on.

Woody Marks, RB - Texans (6%)

Woody Marks is likely going to be a mainstay in this article until we can boost these rostered numbers. That should presumably change by this time next week as the hodge-podge “RB2” role in Houston now looks to be all the rookie’s after another close loss for the once-promising AFC South hopefuls. Though Nick Chubb looked decent on a couple of different Week 2 plays, his 25-yard touchdown scamper came with him beating a safety who was out of position, while his other 11 runs went for 18 yards, or 1.63 YPA. If that kind of inefficiency continues, we could see Marks start to handle more of the early-down role in addition to his new two-minute drill duties. Dameon Pierce is already fully out of the picture.
