7 Sleepers to Target in Sleeper Fantasy Football Leagues

The Sleeper fantasy football app continues to be one of the fastest-growing fantasy platforms among users. With fully customizable leagues, rosters can be between eight and 24 teams. The scoring settings are completely customizable as well, but default leagues are set to PPR scoring. Each roster also defaults to one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, two FLEX spots, one defense/special teams, one kicker, and five bench spots, but can be adjusted for any league.

For this column, we will dig into those default settings and try to identify sleepers (Sleeper sleepers?) based on Sleeper’s average draft position (ADP) data for redraft leagues. Any player going outside the top 100 picks is where we will focus our attention. These picks primarily focus on players going much earlier on other sites, according to 4for4’s Multi-Site ADP Tool.

Here are seven late-round targets who could help lead your fantasy football roster to a championship.

Jordan Mason, RB - Vikings (Sleeper ADP: RB36, 108 overall)

In the five games Jordan Mason had the San Francisco backfield to himself in 2024 (before his own unfortunate injury), he averaged 120 scrimmage yards and 5.1 yards per carry. He also scored three touchdowns and was an RB1 multiple times.

Now with the Minnesota Vikings on a two-year deal, Mason’s competition this season is Aaron Jones. Jones will turn 31 this season and has more than 1,700 career NFL touches. Jones was mostly efficient last year in his first season with Minnesota, but that came with very little real competition behind him, which forced a huge workload. His efficiency took a tumble as a result in the latter part of the season. After a 62% rushing success rate in 2023, that number plummeted to 49.8% in 2024.

Some of the comments from Kevin O’Connell out of Vikings camp is that this is going to be a shared backfield. Why wouldn’t it be after paying Mason $7 million? Will it be a 50/50 split with Mason getting the goal-line work? Who knows, but Mason is going to be heavily involved. And with Mason, you are one Aaron Jones injury away from 20 potential touches per game.

Tucker Kraft, TE - Packers (Sleeper ADP: TE13, 113 overall)
