FanDuel Divisional Round Slate Breakdown

FanDuel Divisional Round Slate Breakdown

It’s the Divisional Round and these are my FanDuel cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.

On short slates, it’s usually wise to dial back volume and favor GPPs. The small player pool leads to a lot of overlap between lineups, leading to more variance. Since virtually any player that sees significant playing time is in play on such a small slate, this breakdown will take a look at each position in terms of potential core and contrarian plays, rather than the traditional breakdown format that we have used all season.

Quarterbacks

FanDuel’s main slates are the one-day slates, so all salaries will pertain to those respective set of games.

Passing Games

Chiefs vs Colts

The weekend kicks off with what is expected to be the highest-scoring game of the week with Indianapolis visiting Kansas City—the over/under currently sits at 57 with a spread of 5.5. Both teams threw at a top-five rate in neutral game script over the final six weeks of the season and those pass-heavy attacks should result in Patrick Mahomes ($9,000) and Andrew Luck ($8,500) being the highest-own quarterbacks of the weekend. These two should be staples in cash game lineups and will be the most popular quarterbacks in my personal portfolio.
