Streaming Quarterbacks: Week 4 Fantasy Football Targets
QB streaming is alive and well (if you can pinpoint the right ones to start). Here are some of the names that were top-12 quarterbacks in Week 3: Case Keenum, Jacoby Brissett, Blake Bortles, Brian Hoyer, Jared Goff, Eli Manning and DeShone Kizer.
Kizer was one of our streaming picks last week, but admittedly, we could have done better. Trevor Siemian came crashing back down to Earth with 7.6 points and Jay Cutler inexplicably stunk it up against the Jets with just 11.7 points.
Still, our top streaming QB picks for 2017 are averaging a respectable 16.4 points through three weeks, and every week we’ve given you at least one option that scored 16 or more points.
On paper, there are a lot of above-average matchups for QB streamers in Week 4. We’ll try to mine for more gold.
Our standard for this exercise will always be to select only quarterbacks owned in fewer than 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues. We will use that standard as not to be accused of stretching the definition of “streamer” (plus, we like a challenge). It will also allow for similar potential on other sites.
Here are your QB streaming candidates for Week 4:
DeShone Kizer (CLE) vs. CIN
In two full starts, Kizer is averaging 20.35 fantasy points per game. If not for his Week 2 migraines, that would have made him a top-5 fantasy QB to this point. He has two rushing touchdowns in those two full games and added rushing yardage to stabilize his fantasy floor. The Bengals have allowed 17.7 and 24.8 fantasy points the past two weeks to DeShaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers. It’s the Watson production that feels like a good comp for Kizer this week. Cincinnati is only 23rd in our aFPA vs. QB rankings.
Kizer is 9% owned in Yahoo! leagues.
