After Sunday night’s 54-19 loss to the Cowboys came to an end, Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday said he didn’t give any thought to benching quarterback Matt Ryan despite his four turnovers on the evening.

On Monday, the prospect of making changes during the bye week came up. Saturday said any changes the 4-8-1 team makes “won’t be about next-year evaluation,” but about giving the team their best chance of winning their final four games.

Fantasy Impact:

Saturday added everything is up for review, including the QB position. Ehlinger was not good in his two starts before the team went back to Ryan. Against the Cowboys, Foles was the backup QB.

Even though the Colts, at 4-7-1, realistically have nothing left to play for, they are sticking with veteran Matt Ryan.

“Matt’s going to continue being the guy,” HC Jeff Saturday said after Monday night’s loss to the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact:

The story went on to break down the team's struggles at QB: Between the two quarterbacks, the Colts have 11 touchdown passes in 12 games. Ryan, 37, has a passer rating of 86.3. The only season he had a worse rating was his second season (2009) when he had an 80.9. He has 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. In two starts, Ehlinger had no touchdowns and an interception.

Jeff Saturday says Sam Ehlinger will remain the Colts' starting quarterback.

Fantasy Impact:

Based on Pelissero's tweets, it sounds like the QB situation could be at the bottom of Saturday's problems. Pelissero said Saturday was shocked to be offered the job because of having no experience. Saturday still has to find someone on his staff to call the plays for this week's game and going forward, and those interviews are ongoing. It seems to be a given Ryan won't be back under center based on his contract, and Foles is the current backup. At least from a fantasy angle, Ehlinger has been terrible to this point and the entire offense hasn't been much better as a result.
