Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. He’s out for the year. When Eifert went down, the initial response from fantasy owners was to pick up Tyler Kroft, but C.J. Uzomah has actually run ahead of Kroft this season. Uzomah’s snaps spiked (70%) in Eifert’s injury game and he has run three times as many pass routes as Kroft has this season, so indications are that he’ll step in as the starter. The matchup isn’t great, but Cincinnati’s offense is rolling, so don’t be surprised if Uzomah posts 50–60 yards and a touchdown.

Bengals’ TE Tyler Eifert broke his ankle and is expected to undergo surgery, per source. Another tough-luck season is over for Eifert.

Fantasy Impact: 

Kroft recorded seven TDs last year, but has only four catches this season. Uzomah has seven catches this year for 74 yards.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert suffered an apparent ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

It was tough to watch and you have to feel terrible for Eifert, who was having a nice season returning from a back injury and missing so much time to injury in his career. Kroft is likely to take his place in the receiving game as Uzomah is more of a blocker.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) took full practice reps all week. Eifert’s role in the offense seems to be increasing. He posted 6-74 on eight targets in Week 3 and has a good matchup with a banged up Falcons defense.
