Saints head coach Dennis Allen noted that receiver Michael Thomas could miss some time with a knee injury. Now we know that will be at least four weeks.

Thomas has been placed on injured reserve, New Orleans announced on Tuesday.

it’s a tough break for Thomas, who had played just 10 games over the last three seasons due to injury. In 2023, Thomas has caught 39 passes for 448 yards with a touchdown, the story said. With Thomas out, Olave should continue to operate as the team's WR1 but Shaheed could see a step up in snaps and workload as well.

Saints WR Michael Thomas was arrested Friday night on misdemeanor charges of simple battery and criminal mischief and was later released.

From Kat Terrell: "Thomas was arrested following an altercation with a man who was doing construction work on a house being built in Thomas' neighborhood. The man stated that Thomas yelled at him about parking in front of his house and issued verbal threats.

According to the man's statement, Thomas was also upset that the man began recording him during the incident and threw a brick at his windshield, which caused 'little if any damage.' The man alleged Thomas said he did not want to be recorded, shoved him and knocked the phone out of his hands."

Thomas is the second Saints receiver arrested in the past month. Chris Olave was arrested for speeding on October 23. The Saints said Friday they were aware of the situation and were gathering information.

Michael Thomas added to injury report with illness, questionable to Sunday

Saints WR Michael Thomas was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and is now questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

Fantasy Impact:

The Saints are in the early window, so we’ll know by late Sunday morning if Thomas is able to play. Thomas has been able to catch a few passes each game, but certainly is not the fantasy wide receiver he once was. He’s a flex play at best if he does play. If not, Rashid Shaheed gets a boost in value.
