Eagles expect to have WRs DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown in Week 6

James Palmer on X

Oct 07, 2024 · 3:40 PM EDT

My understanding is the Eagles are expecting to have their top WRs A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) back this week vs the Browns.

Related players: Jalen Hurts

Fantasy Impact:

Brown was dealing with a hamstring injury and some thought he had a chance to play in Week 4, but ultimately didn't. Smith was dealing with a concussion from Week 3, and didn't get out of protocol in time for Week 4's game. The Eagles had a bye in Week 5 allowing both receivers extra time to be ready to go. It's great news for Hurts and his fantasy owners.

Moore: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts 'smooth' in camp

Pro Football Talk

Jul 29, 2024 · 10:44 AM EDT

As part of the changes after last year’s poor finish, the Eagles hired Kellen Moore to be their offensive coordinator, replacing Brian Johnson.

In a press conference over the weekend, Moore noted that quarterback Jalen Hurts has been “really smooth” in operating the offense early on in training camp.

Fantasy Impact:

Moore is now Hurts’ third OC in the last three years, following now Colts head coach Shane Steichen and Johnson. Hurts has the weapons around him to succeed, as well as his rushing ability, and as a result is ranked second on our QB list heading into drafts. Reports out of Eagles camp have said the offense looks different vs. last year with more motion and more creativity overall. Despite the team's struggles in the second half of the season, Hurts was still the QB2 last and the QB3 in 2022.

Rapoport: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (illness) will play on MNF

Ian Rapoport on X

Dec 18, 2023 · 6:01 PM EST

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, questionable with an illness, will play tonight against the Seahawks.

Fantasy Impact:

The post said Hurts is feeling well enough to go. It seemed to be touch a go for a while as Hurts was feeling worse and was downgraded to questionable over the weekend. He flew behind the team on a separate plane to not get anyone else sick, and it looks like he'll play in a good matchup against the Seahawks.

Rapoport: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts still dealing with illness

Ian Rapoport on X

Dec 18, 2023 · 10:03 AM EST

Ian Rapoport said Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is still dealing with an illness, but speculated that most players who deal with an illness tend to play.

Related players: Marcus Mariota

Fantasy Impact:

Rapoport said Hurts was seemingly was OK, but then got worse and was listed as questionable. Hurts flew separate from the team to Seattle to avoid spreading the illness. We'll likely know more about Hurts' status as the day goes on.
