The Browns have traded wide receiver Corey Coleman to the Bills for a draft pick.

UPDATE: Browns received a 2020 seventh-round pick in exchange for Coleman.

Fantasy Impact: 

Coleman has just 718 yards receiving in two seasons since being a first-round pick of the Browns in 2016. In particular, he has struggled to stay healthy, missing 13 games in that time frame. This trade should present him with an opportunity to prove himself, though. Buffalo does not figure to be a high-volume passing offense, but boast very little at wide receiver. Jordan Matthews and Deonte Thompson vacated 87 targets in this offense from a year ago. If Coleman can beat out Zay Jones, there should be a quality role waiting for him. This is also an opportunity for Buffalo to find their wide receiver of the future for quarterback Josh Allen on the cheap. Kelvin Benjamin will be a free agent at the end of 2018.

Browns WR Kenny Britt (knee) took limited practice reps all week. Britt was removed from the injury report so he’s fine to play, though he should be avoided this week thanks to a terrible matchup against Jacksonville along with the return of Corey Coleman.

Browns HC Hue Jackson said all systems go for Corey Coleman's return Sunday vs. Jacksonville.

Fantasy Impact: 

It could be a nice boost for QB DeShone Kizer, but as we've seen with the Titans' Corey Davis, for example, it may take some time for Coleman to get back into the flow. It also doesn't help the Jags came into last week as the best defense as far as allowing fantasy points to WRs. Be sure to check our rankings Wednesday, but Coleman seems best left on the bench, at least for this week.

Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman has been designated to return from injured reserve and will participate in some periods of practice this week.

Fantasy Impact: 

Coleman, the former first-round pick, has been sidelined with a broken hand since the Browns’ Week 2 loss at Baltimore. He’d be eligible to play as soon as Cleveland’s Week 11 game at Cincinnati.
