According to The Athletic, Miami Dolphins running back/wide receiver Malcolm Perry has been taking snaps at slot receiver, adding that: “We listed Perry as a running back, although he’s expected to play some at slot receiver. Depending on how he adapts, Perry could fill a huge void left by Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns — who both opted out of the 2020 season.”
Malcolm Perry has been generating quiet buzz for his work in the slot throughout camp, and as The Athletic indicated if he can emerge in that role, he could potentially fill a huge hole left by Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns opting out of the season. Perry was a wildcat quarterback of sorts at Navy, but always projected to have a longer career at wide receiver than at running back. He was always expected to get some looks in the slot, but Wilson opting out opens up the possibility that he emerges as the clear cut top slot option for the Dolphins. He has an exciting skill set, and is explosive once he has the ball in his hands. He should make for an interesting fit between Miami's two towering receivers in Preston Williams and Davante Parker.
MIA WR Allen Hurns - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 15 at New York Giants
Allen Hurns finished 5-68 on eight targets last week. All of these were season highs as Hurns got more looks due to DeVante Parker being knocked out of the game with a concussion. If Parker is inactive in Week 15, expect Hurns to be more involved than usual. He's still not an incredibly strong play, but he can be viewed as a decent WR4 in a favorable matchup against the Giants.
