FFTOC - The Closing Rush

This is the final weekend of the FFTOC's November contest, and a number of players have favorable matchups that could help your team post big points. Here's are some of the best options at each position:

QB - The guidelines for this position were set early in the 2009 season and there was a designated list of "stud" quarterbacks and everyone else was considered a "non-stud" quarterback. Brett Favre had a sluggish start and was looking like a caretaker fantasy quarterback, so he didn't make the studs list. But Brett has been playing like one lately and should do some damage against a very shaky Seattle secondary. Carson Palmer, Eli Manning, David Garrard, and Vince Young are other non-studs worth considering. As far as the studs go, Drew Brees likely will light up the Buccaneers, Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning, and guys like Roethlisberger and Warner have easy opponents. Aaron Rodgers and Matt Schaub are also on track to perform well.

RB - If you haven't used Maurice Jones-drew yet, you are in luck as he draws Buffalo's feeble run defense. Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, and Chris Johnson have lofty expectations and can easily exceed them, while Rashard Mendenhall and Pierre Thomas will be running against weak defenses. One-week wonders could include Kevin Smith, Bernard Scott, and Jason Snelling.

WR - The usual suspects are the top plays this week - guys like Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, and Larry Fitzgerald. In New England's game against the Jets in week two, Randy Moss was shut down, but the Jets were vulnerable underneath to unheralded Julian Edelman, who was playing because Wes Welker was out with an injury. Moss should do better this time around, but Welker will be playing and looks poised to have a big game. Marques Colston's been in a bit of a slump, but ought to wake up against Tampa Bay. Additionally, Hines Ward, Chad Ochocinco, and Vincent Jackson have upside for this week.

TE - Dallas Clark, Antonio Gates, and Tony Gonzalez are great plays this week as they almost always are, but if you are looking for some "sleepers" Greg Olsen, Jeremy Shockey, Heath Miller, and Kellen Winslow could deliver the goods. Vernon Davis and Brent Celek are two others to watch.

K - Stephen Gostkowski and David Akers are the top choices for this week, with Nate Kaeding, Josh Scobee, Ryan Longwell, Lawrence Tynes, and Neil Rackers right behind them.

Good luck to everyone! It's been a fun four weeks and it will be very interesting to see how the final round of the contest shakes out.
